As I'm sure you've noticed, we've mostly let South Dakota Dark lie fallow and made it a repository for podcast episodes. Well, while I have a few moments, let me give you an idea of just why there's so little time for SDD, at least in my life, anymore, and link you to some of our other projects.
To the jump, then!
My new and hopefully-soon-to-be-primary base of operations is over at The Onion's AV Club. Right now, I'm writing the site's recaps of In Treatment and Rescue Me. If you like EITHER show, please come on over and join the discussion. We are few, but we are mighty! If you just want to know if I write anything else there, here's my directory of pieces posted.
I've also done a piece for Hitfix.com, which will hopefully turn into a bit more. Here's my piece on the Dollhouse panel at PaleyFest, which was a surprisingly good time. Hitfix is a fun site if you've got a jones for entertainment news, and I more than recommend you check it out. If I ever have more posted there, you'll find it here.
I do a little other freelancing, but it has little to do with the subject of SDD, so I guess I'll leave it alone. If you would like to hire a freelance copy editor, though, please e-mail me, and we'll discuss rates and stuff.
And, of course, I have writing over at The House Next Door. In addition to posting the Links of the Day most days, I've covered the shows Battlestar Galactica, Big Love, Breaking Bad and Lost this season. In addition, podcast co-host Libby Hill is doing the write-ups for In Treatment over there. Here's a more direct link to my HND writings and a more direct link to Libby's.
I'm still hoping to get stuff up here at SDD on a more regular basis, but I don't know when that will happen (probably this summer). As it is, though, it's the official home of the podcast for now, so that's something, right?
